UDAY bonds find flavour with life insurers

UDAY bonds have found flavour with life insurance companies, both private and public, due to absence of such instruments of such longer maturities. Life insurance companies, due to the nature of their business, invest in longer term bonds which are usually above 10 years because insurance contracts even go up to 20-30 years.
