    Here are the people who advice SEBI on AIFs

    The 22-member ‘Alternative Investment Policy Advisory Committee' (AIPAC) advises SEBI on growth and development of AIFs .

    ‘Alternative Investment Policy Advisory Committee' or AIPAC was formed to advise SEBI on a range of issues that impact further development of the AIF space in India.

    SEBI constituted this 22-member committee in March 2015, with N.R. Narayana Murthy, Founder, Infosys Limited as its Chairman. Until now, the committee has submitted three reports on the AIF industry, with the last report being submitted in January last year. 

    Apart from the Infosys founder, the committee includes members from SEBI, RBI, Ministry of Finance, AIF players, industry associations. Lily Vadera, Executive Director, RBI represents the central bank while S V Murli Dhar Rao, Executive Director, SEBI represents the market regulator in this committee. Similarly, Rajesh Kumar Kedia and Deepak Ranjan represent the Ministry of Finance.

    There are some names from the AIF industry in the committee like Saurabh Shrivastava, Devenjit Singh, Padmanabh Sinha, Gopal Srinivasan, Manish Kejriwal, Vishal Nevatia and Gopal Jain.
