PMSbazaar has released a list of Cat III AIF that are open for subscription. Of the 24 Cat III AIFs, 12 funds were launched by AMCs. Also, of these funds, 17 are open ended AIFs.
Avendus Capital, Edelweiss AMC and IDFC AMC have introduced more than two AIFs.
Currently, there are 117 funds under Category III AIFs. Of these, 95 funds are long-only funds, 12 funds follow long-short strategy i.e. combination of both cash and derivatives and finally, 10 funds, which are purely hedge funds.
