    PMS (excluding EPFO) is now Rs.4.40 lakh crore industry

    The non-EPFO PMS AUM grows by 40% in FY 2022, number of clients goes up by 10%.

    The PMS AUM (excluding EPFO/PF investments) has grown by almost 40% in FY 2022 to cross the Rs. 4 lakh crore for the first time. The non-EPFO PMS AUM stood at Rs. 4.40 lakh crore at the end of March 2022 as against Rs. 3.20 lakh crore at the end of March 2021, shows data released by SEBI.

    The growth in assets is in line with industry expectations of PMS & AIF AUM growing at a high pace to touch Rs.50 lakh crore in the next 10 years.

    Discretionary PMS accounted for 60% of the total PMS AUM (non-EPFO/PF) at Rs. 2.70 lakh crore. Non-discretionary PMS accounted for the rest of the Rs. 1.70 lakh crore.

    The industry has witnessed a 10% growth in number of clients in FY 2022. SEBI data shows that the number of clients has risen by close to 13,000 to reach 1.40 lakh by the end of FY 2022.

    At the end of the previous financial year, the number of discretionary clients stood at 1.30 lakh and the number of non-discretionary clients were 7,500. The PMS industry has a total of 1,900 advisory clients.
