Over 500 MFDs attended the ICAA event held recently in Darjeeling, West Bengal. Majority of distributors were from states in east India like West Bengal, Odisha, Sikkim and Assam.
Themed VUCA – Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity, the event focused on giving practical tips to grow distribution business and educating MFDs about succession planning and PMS/AIFs.
Chairman of ICAA, Goutam Karmakar, , President Arunmoy Sur, Vice President Dilip Kumar Dey, Secretary Sujan Das and Joint Secretary Vivek Joshi were the main organizers of the event.
Vivek told Cafemutual that the exposure of the distributors to various alternate asset classes like AIFs and PMS was the major highlight of the event.
Vivek further said that the virtual address by Deepak Jain from American Academy of Financial Management was one of the central themes of the event while the presentation by Nishant Patnaik, Associate Editor, Cafemutual on ensuring business continuity has encouraged many MFDs to revisit their existing nomination against their ARN.
