    NS Venkatesh is the new AMFI CEO

    Venkatesh was Executive Director at Lakshmi Vilas Bank.

    AMFI has announced the appointment of NS Venkatesh as its Chief Executive Officer.

    Venkatesh has assumed his new role as Chief Executive of AMFI today. He succeeds C.VR. Rajendran, who had stepped down from the position in December 2016.

    Venkatesh has over three decades of experience in the banking sector including over two decades in managing treasury and International banking. In addition, he has experience in matters relating to finance, risk management, information technology, accounting standards, audit & assurance as well as bank taxation.

    Prior to joining AMFI, he was the Executive Director at Lakshmi Vilas Bank. He has also served in Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) for over 19 years.

    Venkatesh was a member of Technical Advisory Committee of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Money Market, Securities Market & Foreign Exchange from 2011 to 2016. He was also the Chairman of Fixed Income, Money Markets & Derivatives Association (FIMMDA) during the same period.

    Venkatesh is a Chartered Accountant from the 1984 batch and a Science Graduate from Kerala University. He has done Diploma in Management & Financial Services and is a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers, Mumbai.

    A sports person, he enjoys playing and watching sports, especially cricket, in his spare time. He is a voracious reader. He supports social causes and development projects.

    It is really welcome move. Only desciplined investors alone will be availbale. For NRE investors you should consider the AADHAR whether it is necessary or not. please highlight your thoughts sir. Make NRE to invest in Mutual fund easy. Your reply will be appreciated by all NRI s
