Rajan Krishnan exited Baroda Pioneer Mutual Fund last week; Arindam Ghosh of Mirae is the latest to quit
Rajan Krishnan, Managing Director of Baroda Pioneer Mutual Fund, has put in his papers last week, confirm sources at the fund house. Rajeev Thakkar, Chief Operating Officer, will be interim CEO till the post is filled. An industry veteran, Rajan has played a key role in all his assignments by strengthening distribution and ramping up assets. He was earlier working with Principal PNB Asset Management as its business head. Prior to that, he was with Zurich Asset Management as its Vice President - Sales and Marketing.
Rajan has also worked with India’s first private sector AMC—Kothari Pioneer AMC (now Franklin Templeton AMC).
The CEO of Mirae Asset Management, Arindam Ghosh has quit the organisation after spending five years at the fund house. Jisang Yoo, the present CFO of the company, will head the fund house as CEO.
“Arindam Ghosh has expressed his desire to pursue other interests, and the board with great reluctance, has accepted his resignation,” said a statement from Mirae AMC.
Arindam has over two decades of experience in financial services
in India and the
Asia-Pacific region. Prior to this assignment, he was the Head of Asia Pacific
Regional Business Development with Mirae Asset Global Investment Management
(Hong Kong). He has also been associated with various other organisations
including Fidelity, Tata Asset Management and A V Birla Group.
Mirae Asset managed Rs. 444 crore as on March 2012, up 5% from Rs. 422 crore as AUM on December 2011.
