Karvy Computershare has started hosting events titled ‘IFA Knowledge Connect’ in non-metro locations to help distributors make better use of the registrar and transfer agent’s services and grow their business.
The R&T agent recently organised such events in Surat and Patna. Sharing the rationale for this initiative, Ravikumar Somasi, General Manager, Karvy Computershare said, “Many distributors particularly in non-metro locations do not know how they can leverage services offered by us such as mail back services, GST invoices, Aadhaar updating and so on. These services are critical to grow business. Hence, we have started organising ‘IFA Knowledge Connect’ to make distributors fully aware of our services.”
R&T agents offer a variety of services to distributors such as transfer of funds, general business reports like commission data, scheme-wise and fund house-wise AUM, cancelled transaction and so on.
Speaking about the event Somasi said, “The aim is to make IFAs aware about how they can use our services efficiently. Hence, instead of giving them a presentation, we give them demo sessions. Post such sessions, we encourage them to ask questions on our services. I can say it is more like an interactive session for IFAs.”
Somasi said that they have received a good response to these events. So far, Karvy Computershare has conducted these events in four cities. The R&T agent will organise more such events in Siliguri, Raipur and Ranchi this month.
