Tata Mutual Fund has filed an offer document with SEBI to launch Tata Capital Protection Oriented Fund Series 3 & 4, a close ended capital protection oriented fund.
The fund comprises of two close ended schemes, Series 3 and Series 4, both schemes will seek protection of capital on maturity. The schemes will have a duration of 3 years from the date of allotment of units.
The primary investment objective of scheme is to seek income and minimize risk of capital loss by investing in a portfolio of fixed income securities. The scheme may invest a part of the assets in equity and equity related instruments to seek capital appreciation.
The minimum subscription under each plan will be Rs.10000/-. The schemes will have a growth and dividend payout facility. For both the schemes, Series 3 and Series 4, the benchmark will be CRISIL MIP Blended Index.
Both schemes will allocate a minimum of 82% to debt and money market instruments and a maximum of 18% to equity and equity related instruments including units of equity oriented schemes of Tata Mutual Fund.
The equity portion of the fund will be managed by Mr. Thomas J Priju and the debt portion will be managed by Mr. Marzban Irani.
