Even as the bandh evoked a mixed response across India, the Cafemutual team found that many IFAs functioned normally.

Most IFAs ensured that their business functioned smoothly during the bandh.

“We were not affected by the strike. Everything is running smoothly,” said Ramesh Bhat of IFA Galaxy.  Most part of Tamil Nadu were not affected by the strike.

Even in Kolkata, IFAs didn’t face any problems. “We were able to work smoothly as there was no transportation problem in Kolkata. I visited AMC houses and RTA and completed my work smoothly,” said Sougata Mitra, a Kolkata based IFA.

Another Kolkata based IFA even met his clients at their home.“I followed my regular routine and visited my clients. Most of them were available at their place today and therefore there was no affect on my business today,” said Suresh Mohta, IFA from Kolkata.

While the bandh affected normal life in Mumbai, some IFAs put up a brave face and ensured that the bandh didn’t affect their routine. “It didn’t affect our work so much. Some rowdies had entered our office but we managed to get them out. We did some transactions also. Work functioned smoothly. We finished our work and left early,” says Dinesh Khemlani of Comsol.

I couldn’t contact any of my clients. Transportation was affected so many people didn’t venture out,” says Neeraj Bahal of Fasttrack Investments.
