Tata Mutual Fund has appointed Rahul Singh as its Chief Investment Officer (CIO) – Equities, said the company press release.
In this role, Rahul would lead the fund management and equity research teams. He begins his new role on October 15, 2018.
Rahul brings with him over 23 years of investment experience. An alumnus of IIM Lucknow, Rahul joins Tata Mutual Fund from Ampersand Capital Investment Advisors LLP where he was the Managing Partner. Prior to Ampersand Capital, he worked with Standard Chartered Securities and Citigroup Global Markets India.
In the press release, Prathit Bhobe, CEO & Managing Director, Tata Mutual Fund said, "Rahul joins us at an exciting moment with the mutual fund industry in India seeing explosive growth in the recent past. With his joining us, I am confident that we will accelerate our growth as we aim to scale new heights in the industry."
A few months back, Gopal Agrawal quit Tata MF as CIO to join DSP Mutual Fund.
Currently, Tata MF manages assets of close to Rs.55000 crore as on September 2018.
