    In this article, we will take you through “KFinKart – Distributor”, a Karvy Fintech mobile app. This app helps IFAs initiate transactions through their mobile and access a host of other services.

    Let us explore.

    1.How many AMCs and schemes are available on the platform?

    All schemes of Karvy Fintech serviced AMCs are available.

    2. Is it a paid app?

    It’s offered free of cost for your convenience and experience.

    3. Can distributor initiate a transaction on behalf of an investor?

    App enables distributor to initiate transactions for their clients and get reports through mail back services. Your clients can approve transaction initiated by you through email or SMS.

    Transaction types available for distributors

    1. Subscriptions – New/Additional/SIPs
    2. Redemption, Switch
    3. STP and SWP – will be rolled out soon
    4. Host of other services

    4. What are the different payment modes available for the Investor?

    • Currently investors can complete the payment using internet banking
    • Other payment modes like one time mandate (OTM) and UPI will be rolled out soon

    5.How can an IFA check the status of a transaction?

    IFA can check the last ten transactions in transaction history tab for each client.

    6. Can IFAs place a request for a consolidated account statement (CAS) on behalf of an investor?

    The platform offers consolidated account statement (CAS) as a mail back service.

    7. Can IFAs view their investor’s portfolio?

    Yes, IFAs can view the detailed portfolio of investment, which were sourced by him.

    8. Does KFinKart offer details on brokerage?

    Yes, IFAs can view brokerage received during the last five months in “My Earnings” section

    9. Is there any quick login facility on KFinKart Distributor app?

    Yes, once logged in users can setup a PIN or Pattern based login, which eliminates the need for entering the user id and password every time.

    10. Does the app have any tool for analysing an advisor’s performance?

    Comparative analysis functionality is offered by KFinKart. IFAs can analyse their business month-on-month compared to the industry.

    11. What operating systems support the app? 

    • Currently KFinKart is available on android
    • iOS compatibility will be launched soon

    12. Does the app allow transactions for clients in demat format?

    No. It only supports non-demat transactions.

    13. Does the app support e-KYC and zero balance folio generation?

    At present, the app does not support e-KYC and zero balance folio generation. The app allows online transactions of only KYC compliant clients.

    14.Can the distributor upload bulk transactions for execution?

    Currently, this feature is not available.

    15. Does this app support direct plans?

    Since this is a distributor app, direct plans are not available.

    16. How can IFAs get support and their queries handled?

    • IFAs can tap on the contact us section.
    • They can raise a query on email or call the contact centre.  
    • They can reach out to distributor support team at branches.

    17. Which other features does KFinKart offer?

    IFAs can check NAV of Karvy Fintech serviced funds, their profile details and self-declaration status under “My Profile”

    All Registrars/AMFI should have come together and launched such an app/portal for the distributors only. Nevertheless, Karvy has done a good thing.

    Lots of teething problems like it doesn't advise about the password help, then no OTP COMES EVEN IN HOURS.

    I Agree with Abbasali Mava, i also do not understand why Direct Plans are appearing in Distributor App, this area need to be looked in and rectified.

    Really a wonderful app. Great initiative by KARVY.
    Cams is much bothered about direct investment only. Thats why the are not interested in developing app for IFAs

    Please accept our sincere thanks and congratulations for launching KFINKART DISTRIBUTOR SERVICE-MOBILE APPS. This is very good , useful and handy apps for Distributors having all the features including DIT.
    I may like to give following suggestions/feedback for this apps :-
    1- At present there is only one option to search Investor i.e. PAN Number. You may like to add some more options e.g. By Name, By Mobile Number, By Email Id, By CAN No etc.
    2- KYC/FATCA check option may also be added in apps.
    3- At present there is option to see Transaction History of Investor-wise only. Latest Consolidated Transactions features for all the transactions may also be added for ARN.
    4- There is option to get Consolidated Account Statement on the basis of Email ID only, one more filter may be added for PAN No.
    5- To view/download SOA under Investor Portfolio may be added.
    6- Latest Dividends/ Dividend History may also be consider to add.
    7- NFO'S Running may also be added.

    This APP is very Useful to me I did use this app Additional Purchase, in co-ordination with Client we could able to complete total transaction in lessthan 4 minutes, from initiating Additonal Purchase transaction to calling client to complete transaction client clicking on email link, entering OTP received by him and confirming the transation, directing to Net banking for payment, and completing the payment thru Net banking. my Client is also Happy, this client wanted online purchase like this when every he has some additonal money. for this kind of clients and for me it is very useful. Thanks to Venu Sir from Karvy to letting us know about this app and guiding about the Features,

    i also used NAV Graphs, this very useful ranging from short periods to 5 years NAV moment available in single screen and can be shared with clients.

    To do transaction it asks to search for Investor's PAN. How am i supposed to remember Investor's pan. All other apps give the option of search by name. For ex- I am traveling and want to redeem,I can't do the transaction if I don't remember PAN.

    It is slower than a tortoise. Worst thing is to search Investors it askS for PAN. If one is travelling or out of town,do they expect people to remember PAN of clients. Someone should think from user's convenience point of view. Very bad experience. Struggling for the last one hour.
