    Himanshu Vyapak to quit Reliance Nippon Life MF

    Sources said that Himanshu Vyapak, Deputy CEO of Reliance Nippon MF would turn an entrepreneur.

    Himanshu Vyapak, Deputy CEO, Reliance Nippon Life Mutual Fund has put in his papers, said two sources familiar with the development. Himanshu will be associated with Reliance Nippon Life until April 30, 2019.

    Sources said that Himanshu would remain in the financial services industry though as an entrepreneur; Himanshu is to foray into capacity building business where he would educate and train front line sales team of banks, insurers and AMCs.

    At Reliance Nippon Life, Himanshu has played a key role in expanding its footprint in retail business and established strong relationship with distribution partners. Himanshu had joined Reliance Nippon Life MF in 2003 when the fund had AUM of Rs.2000 crore. Currently, the AMC manages AUM of close to Rs.4 lakh crore.

    An MF industry veteran, Himanshu has over 22 years of experience in BFSI space and has been with Reliance Nippon Life MF for the past 16 years. Prior to Reliance Nippon Life MF, he has worked with ICICI Bank and Escorts Finance.

    Himanshu is an MBA and a graduate in Economics (Hons) from Delhi University. He is also a Fellow of Insurance from Indian Institute of Insurance, a Certified Financial Planner and holds the Claritas Investment Certification awarded by the CFA Institute, USA.
