Although exit polls unanimously predicted victory for Narendra Modi led NDA, financial advisors want either Narendra Modi or a third front leader such as Mamata Banerjee or Mayawati as the next Prime Minister of India.
To find out who IFAs would like as the next Prime Minister, Cafemutual ran an opinion poll, which gave them three options – Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi and third front leaders such as Mayawati or Mamata Banerjee.
Overall, 4,450 IFAs participated in this poll.
A majority of 1,992 IFAs across the country responded with a thumbs up for (no prizes for guessing), Narendra Modi. Those who would like to see a third front leader like Mayawati or Mamata Banerjee lead the country were a close second with 1,896 or 43% respondents.
A small percentage (12%) of IFAs who participated in the opinion poll also said they would like Rahul Gandhi to become the next Prime Minister. There were 562 respondents who chose in favour of the Congress leader.
Most of the exit poll results in the media, however, suggest that Modi led NDA is most likely to form the next government. The suspense will be over soon, as the verdict of the people will be delivered today.
Here are the results of Cafemutual’s opinion poll:
Who do you want to see as the next PM?
Narendra Modi: 1,992 votes, 45%
Rahul Gandhi: 562 votes, 12%
Third front leader (Mayawati/Mamata): 1,896 votes, 43%
In another poll run by Cafemutual on Twitter, over 82% of respondents supported Narendra Modi as the next Prime Minister of India.
