Soumendra Nath Lahiri, CIO, L&T Mutual Fund has put in his papers.
The company spokesperson confirmed that Lahiri has decided to pursue an opportunity outside of L&T Mutual Fund. The company further said, “Venugopal Manghat Head Equities at L&T Mutual Fund and Shriram Ramnathan, Head Fixed Income L&T Mutual Fund have been with organization for over 7 years and will continue to manage funds in line with the defined philosophy of each fund. The exceptional fund management team at L&T Mutual Fund backed by robust processes has a track record of consistent high quality performance. We continue to focus on building and executing investment strategy aimed at generating superior return for investors. We wish Lahiri best of luck for his future endeavor and thank him for his contribution.”
Lahiri holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Bangalore and an engineering degree as well. He has 28 years of experience of which 24 years of experience is in equity investments and research.
Lahiri was appointed as the head of equity at L&T Mutual Fund in September 2012. Prior to this, he was head of equity at Canara Robeco Mutual Fund. He was the Chief Investment Officer - PMS at Emkay Investment Managers Ltd (January2011 to March, 2011), Chief Investment Officer at Fortuna Capital (May, 2008 to December, 2010) and was also Co-Head - Equities with DSP Black Rock Investment Managers (June, 2004 to March, 2008).
L&T MF manages AUM of Rs. 69213 crore as on September 2019.
