    Profound investment lessons through relatable investories!

    Noted author and trainer Amit Trivedi is back with a new book which makes investment lessons easy and entertaining

    Author and Trainer Amit Trivedi’s latest book ‘Investories – Anecdotes from the financial world’ is a collection of 30 stories that serve profound learnings in easy bites for both the beginner as well as the experienced investor.

    With real life anecdotes, Amit Trivedi prepares investors for the reality of the world of investing. Trivedi reveals the common mistakes that many investors make, the pitfalls and traps to avoid and the modus operandi that goes in selecting the right investment vehicle.

    Trivedi has taken some classic examples of mishaps from the world of business like Satyam case, liquidity crises, oil volatility, etc. The book also explains investor psychology and points out how herd mentality and pursuit of ‘safety’ can produce sub-optimal results.

    Written in an easy-to-understand language, the book has 30 anecdotes that gives insights on financial world in an interesting way. Each anecdote in the book is followed by key learning learnings at the end.

    In an interaction with Cafemutual, Trivedi explained how risk and caution are opposite concepts but equally important for an investor. He has highlighted these contradictory ideas in the book as well. Investing in any market is in itself taking risk, but one must be cautious about the amount of risk being taken and be comfortable with the risk, he added.

    During the booklaunch on Nov 22, Trivedi shared anecdotes which show the pitfalls of following the herd.

    "One should aviod buying or selling at a time when most people are rushing to do so for a particular stock or bond," Trivedi said.

    The book consists of three sections – Investments and Economics, Managing Investment Risks and Investor Psychology.

    The expertise and passion of the author who has been in the industry since 1993 clearly comes across. The book is available at a price of Rs. 699 and is published by CNBC TV-18 and JM Financial.
