Recent AMFI data shows that the average ticket size of retail investors, HNIs and corporates have increased in the December quarter.
The average ticket size of retail investors rose by 2.5% to Rs 60,709 in December from Rs 59,201 in September. For HNIs, the average ticket size increased 1.5% to Rs.8.6 lakh from Rs.8.5 lakh in September while those of corporates rose by nearly 10.4% to Rs.1.5 crore from Rs 1.3 crore a quarter ago.
The average ticket size of institutions witnessed a drop, as it fell to Rs 7.9 crore from Rs 8.6 crore in September.

In terms of scheme categories, ETFs/FoFs witnessed a decline in their average ticket size. This is most likely following the launch of Edelweiss Bharat Bond ETF, which was aimed at retail investors who could invest an amount as low as Rs. 1000.
Other categories such as equity, liquid, debt, solution, hybrid and index funds saw an increase in the average ticket size.
The highest rise came in liquid schemes, which posted a rise of Rs 1.8 lakh in their average ticket size to reach Rs.24.2 lakh.
