Coronavirus, now a global pandemic disease, has created havoc across the globe. Currently, there is a lot of panic among people due to rising number of positive cases of coronavirus in the country.

In reaction to this, advisors have adopted several changes in terms of hygiene and are avoiding any personal contact with people.

Cafemutual spoke to a number of MFDs to understand the precautionary measures taken by them.

Suresh Sadagopan, Ladder7 Financial Advisories believes that having complete digital connectivity with clients is helping him to avoid any personal contact with clients. “In fact, video calls with clients are increasing day by day as nervous investors tend to panic at such situations. The need of the hour is to keep clients invested and communicate with them regularly about the fall in the market through mails or calls,” he said

When asked how he has managed to maintain a hygienic environment at workplace, he said, “I recently conducted a meeting with all my teammates and asked them to maintain basic hygiene of washing hands frequently and using sanitizer.”

Sharing views on how to avoid personal contact with people, Vishal Dhawan, Founder of Plan Ahead Wealth Advisors said, “I have halted all travel plans especially overseas for my colleagues and me. Further, in case of even a minor symptom like fever, I ask my team members to stay at home and do a complete check-up.”

Charmi Shah, MFD from Mumbai has stopped shaking hands with clients fearing the spread of the virus. “I have made sanitizer compulsory at the workplace while avoiding any handshakes instead have been greeting my clients with a Namaste,” said Charmi.

Ashish Modani, MFD from Jaipur shares that he is sticking to Namaste rather than shaking hands with clients as such viruses can be easily spread through skin-to-skin contact.

Shifali Satsangee of Funds Vedaa from Agra encourages her employees to wear a mask when in public. “I have circulated a list of things that my employees can do including frequent hand wash, usage of sanitizer, wearing a mask, avoiding outside food, unnecessary travel, and shaking hands,” she said.

Yes absolutely great way to go. Maintaining personal Hygiene and keeping the right focus. Is the need of the hour.
However getting too paranoid over the situation is also not warranted. Some thing inspite of all this can still happen. Its now proven that it's a treatable condition so one needn't be petrified about the worsted case scenario. Soon than later a vaccine for this too shall come.

Perfect approach. In my opinion, due to hype created by media ( mainly electronic media ) and social media is mostly responsible for correction in the market.
