SBI MF has emerged as the top fund house in B30 cities with an average AUM of Rs 86,475 crore in January 2020. The fund house has benefitted from SBI’s strong banking channel in B30 cities with more than Rs 50,000 crore of AAUM in B30 cities coming through associate distributors.
The second largest fund house in B30 cities is HDFC MF with an AAUM of Rs 55,071 crore. Next in the list of largest fund houses in B30 cities is ICICI Prudential MF with an AAUM of Rs 49,780 crore.
Among other top fund houses in the list in B30 cities are UTI MF, Nippon India MF and Aditya Birla Sun Life MF. While UTI MF’s AAUM in B30 stood at Rs 41,811 crore, Nippon India MF’s B30 AAUM stood at Rs 39,400 crore and ABSL MF’s at Rs 38,161 crore.
Apart from these fund houses, there were 4 others - Axis, Kotak, FT and DSP - which have more than Rs 10,000 crore AAUM as on January 2020.
Highlights
- In percentage terms, UTI MF has the highest AAUM among the top 10 fund houses at nearly 26%
- In percentage terms, LIC MF has the highest AAUM among the top 20 fund houses at around 46%
- Of the top 20, five fund houses - LIC, Canara Robeco, UTI, SBI and Sundaram - have more than 20% of their total AAUM in B30 cities
- As many as 19 fund houses have more than Rs 1,000 crore of AAUM in B30 cities
