Dhoni and Sachin make their debut on ‘Mutual Funds Sahi Hai’ pitch

Captain Cool MS Dhoni and Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar are pitching mutual funds in the  Mutual Fund Sahi Hai campaign. While Sachin has shot two videos, Dhoni features in one video explaining the benefits, importance and risks associated with mutual funds.

One such video featuring Sachin narrates how just like life, risk is an intrinsic part of investing in mutual funds. In this video, Sachin asks a boy to face a fast bowler. The boy’s mom gets worried and asks Sachin if it is a good idea. She asks Sachin, “Isn’t it too risky?” Sachin assures her that the boy is prepared to take that risk. At the end of the video, as the boy faces the fast bowler fearlessly the message gets clear: whether it is on the cricket pitch or life, one should be ready to take the risk to take the leap.

In his second video, Sachin is accompanied by India women's ODI captain Mithali Raj. In this video, a young cricketer wants to invest in a mutual fund but he is not sure which fund to start with. Sachin and Mithali ask him to start with an overnight fund to test the waters.

Meanwhile, Dhoni has featured in a video that talks about retirement planning. (No, the video does not give a hint on when Dhoni will retire!). Dhoni says that he does not worry about retirement as he has prepared for it by investing in mutual funds.

These videos aim to take the conversation around mutual funds from basics of mutual fund investments to a higher level of understanding and educate investors about risk/return payoff, debt products and so on.
