An analysis of quarterly average AUM of all fund houses shows that HDFC MF, ICICI Prudential MF and Aditya Birla Sun Life MF are the top three fund houses in terms of equity AAUM.
Equity AAUM includes pure equity schemes and ELSS.
HDFC MF’s equity AAUM for Jan-Mar stood at Rs 88,899 crore, ICICI Prudential MF’s at Rs 74, 867 crore and Aditya Birla Sun Life MF’s at Rs 69,187 crore.
Next in this list is SBI MF with an equity AAUM of Rs 66,981 crore followed by Nippon India MF with Rs 63,596 crore equity AAUM.
Apart from these five fund houses, Axis MF, Franklin Templeton, Kotak, UTI and Mirae Asset were among the top 10 fund houses based on AAUM of equity schemes.
The total AAUM of pure equity schemes and ELSS stood at Rs 7.29 lakh crore.
Quarterly AAUM data of Kotak MF and HSBC MF was not available.
Based on hybrid assets
In terms of total assets in hybrid funds, the top five fund houses are HDFC, ICICI Prudential, SBI, Nippon India and UTI. Hybrid assets include aggressive hybrid funds, balanced advantage and solution oriented schemes.
HDFC has AAUM of Rs. 77,777 crore while ICICI Prudential has AAUM of Rs 76,732 crore in the hybrid category.
