Distributors request for paperless submission of annual self-declaration form

Currently, distributors are required to take print out of annual self-declaration form before submitting its scanned copy under online mechanism.

Mutual fund distributors want AMFI to introduce completely paperless service to submit annual Declaration of Self Certification (DSC) due to the nationwide lockdown.

Last week, AMFI had introduced a new facility through which mutual fund distributors can submit their annual DSC online. However, distributors are required to take printout of the form before submitting a scanned copy of DSC.

Many distributors have written to AMFI requesting to make this facility completely paperless.

A member of ARN committee requesting anonymity said that since there is two months left for distributors to comply with this regulations, they need not worry. “We think that lockdown will be lifted in May and distributors will be able to get a printout. However, if the government extends the lockdown, we would consider introducing completely online facility to submit DSC or extend the deadline for distributors to submit DSC.”

Currently, you need to download the DSC form from AMFI website, key in details with wet signature and upload a scanned image of the form at AMFI’s distributor portal. AMFI will send you a confirmation email after verification of the form.

True. You cannot even get a login. When you use the forgot password method, it says password cannot be sent to your email id. Have been following up with the amfi. Have written to amfi, cams but no one bothers to sort the issue.

Everything is done by paper should be transferred through digitally. When you need investment, you made the digital platforms and confirm the investors identity by OTP.. The same can be done for distributors. If AMFI do not have competenecy to do so, contact me I will provide you the logic to do so, not only for DC but for all transactions,. There are many transactions which are only can be done through paper... Convert all these to digital one...

Submitted online for my three codes. Got rejection email for 2 codes saying that details of rejection will come. Waiting for that so can re-upload. Funny whats to reject in SDC. Better that it is online and we just login and click confirm from AMFI site or anywhere. Easier that way.

To avoid the step of taking print out and then scanning the DSC, alike Income Tax Deptt verification could be done through OTP on Registered Mobile of the distributor that is now followed by banks too.
