Aurangabad becomes T30, Vizag is now B30: AMFI

AMFI revises the list of T30 cities with pin codes. A few satellite cities like Vasai, Virar and Kalyan (near Mumbai), Tambaram (near Chennai), Palwal (near Delhi) and Santragachi (Kolkata) are B30 cities.

AMFI has revised the list of T30 cities in which it has added Aurangabad (Maharashtra) to the top 30 (T30) cities and removed Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) from the list of T30 cities.

AMFI has identified a little over 1400 such pin codes. Click here to see the list of T30 cities with their pin codes.

Interestingly, a few satellite cities like Vasai, Virar and Kalyan (near Mumbai), Tambaram (near Chennai), Palwal (near Delhi) and Santragachi (Kolkata) are B30 cities.

Since 2019, AMFI issues a list of T30 cities along with their pin codes to bring uniformity across R&T agents and AMCs to map B30 transaction for additional payouts.

In order to get their B30 incentives, distributors have to ensure that the pin codes given in MF folios match with those in the KYC form. However, transactions with missing or invalid pin code are considered as T30 transaction.

AMFI or SEBI taking decisions arbitrarily without the deliberations with stake holders. They behave like US decision makers that Indians at rural sides are capable to invest in equity market on their own capabilities without the help of qualified advisors. Is it feel that Mutual Fund's very own objective of creating opportunity for those who are not capable to invest in equity market knowing nothing about the market complexities have been uprooted? And we the students when seeking advisorship taught that Indian Mutual Fund is operating through TRUSTS not COs like US and today Indian AMCs listed in equity market! Do you feel that Indian Mutual Fund industry today gone transgender way? Please correct me if I am wrong. India today behave like a developed nation. May be right the govt officials running the economy and politics. But I do have my own confusions and undigestible items on my belly when govt do these activities with sudden actions. Also these AMFI and SEBI does not control the AMCs on digital activities has any uniformity in selection of platforms or any timetable or schedules. Really feel NO COMMANDERS at top in the industry. All these push the industry to rottedness and untrustworthy for investors and ultimately destructive for losing the jobs of employees and withdrawal of advisors. Why Mutual Fund industry to behave as Direct Equity Market system existing for more than 150 years in India? One could see today that employees switch from one AMC to another heavily and the regulators silent. Why? All these appear helping for great development to become a US$5Tn economy as dreamt by our Hon.PM? Please make a discussion on these items by all stake holders for the best interest of our nation.
