    IDFC, SBI and Nippon win in fixed income funds category: Asia Asset Management

    Badrish Kulhalli, Fixed Income Fund Manager at HDFC Life Insurance, Pankaj Khetan, Fixed Income Fund Manager at Tata AIA Life Insurance and Anurag Mittal, Fixed Income Fund Manager at IDFC MF won the Asset Astute Investor List for 2020 in local currency bonds category.

    IDFC, SBI, Nippon India, Aditya Birla and ICICI Prudential MF win awards at the Best of the Best Awards 2020 under local currency bonds category.  These five funds were the top five fund houses in local currency bonds category. 

    Local currency bonds are debt instruments issued from governments and corporations in developing nations i.e. fixed income securities. 

    Asia Asset Management’s ‘Best of the Best Awards’ gives recognition to financial institutions and pension funds for outstanding achievements over the past calendar year. The award is broken down into four divisions: a) performance, b) country c) regional awards and d) ASEAN.

     

    Meanwhile, fund houses like Axis, DSP, HDFC and L&T were other fund houses that were highly commended in the fixed income category.

    Further, Badrish Kulhalli, Fixed Income Fund Manager at HDFC Life Insurance, Pankaj Khetan, Fixed Income Fund Manager at Tata AIA Life Insurance and Anurag Mittal, Fixed Income Fund Manager at IDFC MF were the top three fund managers that won the Asset Astute Investor List for 2020 in local currency bonds category. The awards jury measured fund manager’s knowledge in the credits/markets, acumen in making investment decisions and/or trading skills.

    Overall, 20 fund managers were awarded the Asset Astute Investor List for 2020 under the local currency bonds category.
