Axis MF has launched a fund of funds ‘Axis Global Equity Alpha Fund of Fund’ which will invest in Schroder International Selection Fund Global Equity Alpha.
The fund house aims to collect Rs.1,000 crore in this fund with 50,000 -75,000 applications.
Chandresh Kumar Nigam, MD & CEO, Axis MF says that funds having global exposure will become a significant part of everyone’s portfolio in the next 3-4 years. Currently, Indian investors have just 3% exposure to global equity markets. Hence, investors should look at allocating at least 20-30% of their investible corpus in funds having exposure to international markets to benefit from developed economies.
The fund house claims that this is the right time for Indian investors to start global allocations and bring down the impact of home bias on their portfolios.
Alex Tedder, CIO, Head of Global & Thematic Equities, Schroders Investment Management said, “Global investing opens up a wealth of opportunity and the Axis Global Equity Alpha fund offers advisors and their clients the scope to invest in an exciting portfolio of Schroders’ best global equity ideas. Our investment approach is entirely complementary to the highly successful approach utilised by Axis MF across their local equity funds offerings. And together we offer, in our opinion, the very best of local and international equity management.”
The NFO of this fund opens on September 04, 2020 and closes on September 18, 2020.
