    In large caps, banks and information technology companies were top picks by the AMCs.

    The last two months were a little worrisome for the industry as it witnessed outflows in both equity and debt funds. The need for cash and profit booking were common reasons for redemption by investors.

    Let us look at how mutual funds dealt with outflows and the changes they made to their portfolio:

    Large cap

    In the large cap segment, banks and information technology stocks were among the top picks. Bandhan Bank, Axis Bank, Wipro, and DLF witnessed highest buying during August 2020.

    Large cap stocks, which saw selling by AMCs, were Vedanta, Tata Consumer Products, Marico and Grasim Industries.
