    No change in AMFI board

    A Balasubramanian, Ashutosh Bishnoi, Saurabh Nanavati and Sundeep Sikka were reelected as directors.

    In its annual general meeting (AGM) held virtually in Mumbai today, AMFI has reportedly re-elected A. Balasubramanian, CEO, Aditya Birla Sun Life MF, Ashutosh Bishnoi, Managing Director & CEO, Mahindra Manulife MF, Saurabh Nanavati, CEO, Invesco MF and Sundeep Sikka, CEO, Nippon Life MF as directors on its board.

    Every year, 1/3rd of AMFI board retire by rotation.

    Currently, there are 15 members in AMFI board of which seven are from the top ten fund houses and four each from mid and small   AMCs. The AMFI board has representation across three broad categories – category A represents directors from large fund houses (top ten fund houses), category B has directors from mid-sized fund houses and representatives of emerging fund houses fall under category C.

    AMFI will appoint AMFI chairman, vice chairman and head of various committees in the upcoming board meeting.

    Meanwhile, AMFI has asked all the members to follow the best practices circular in letter and spirit and remain united for the collective growth of the MF industry.
