Three fund houses – SBI MF, Kotak Mahindra MF and Axis MF have witnessed highest growth in terms of quarterly average AUM in October-December 2020.
An analysis of quarterly average AUM of fund houses shows that SBI MF has seen the highest increase in AUM last quarter. With an increase of Rs.35,134 crore, SBI MF’s December quarter AAUM stood at Rs.4.60 lakh crore as against Rs.4.20 lakh crore in September quarter.
Next in the line is Kotak Mahindra MF who saw second highest AAUM growth of Rs.24,630 crore. With this, Kotak Mahindra MF’s AAUM rose to Rs.2.20 lakh crore in December quarter as against Rs.1.90 lakh crore in September.
Axis MF secured third position in the list in terms of growth in quarterly AAUM. Axis MF’s AAUM grew to Rs.1.80 lakh crore in December quarter compared to Rs.1.60 lakh crore in September.
ICICI Prudential MF and Aditya Birla Sunlife MF captured fourth and fifth position in terms of quarterly average AUM growth last quarter by seeing an increase of Rs.19,943 crore and Rs.16785 crore respectively.
While most fund houses witnessed asset growth last quarter, six fund houses saw negative growth in its assets.
Meanwhile, SBI MF, HDFC MF and ICICI Prudential MF remained the top three fund houses in terms of AAUM.
Overall, the MF industry has witnessed 8% growth in its quarterly average AUM to reach close to Rs.30 lakh crore last quarter.
