    ‘Two digital tools that have enhanced my productivity’

    In this edition of ‘Principal Business Champions – Winning Ideas’, we asked distributors to share with us two digital tools that have enhanced their productivity.

    Principal Business Champions is a joint initiative between Principal Mutual Fund and Cafemutual that offers a platform to the mutual fund distributor (MFD) community to share their valuable experiences.

    We have received some interesting responses from distributors. Here are the entries that received the highest votes.

    Facebook winner: Dipesh Sethia, Agra

    l use WhatsApp business account to interact with clients and prospects. Every time someone sends me message or query, he quickly receives my response with details like office address, website, email address and preferable time to connect.

    Another digital tool that helped me increase productivity is BSE Star MF platform. Executing MF transactions has become simpler through mobile app of the platform. It saves time, money and avoids last minute rush to the registrar or AMC office.

    Twitter winner: Viral Bhatt, Mumbai

    Calendly, a digital tool, can save a lot of time to schedule a meeting with clients which is otherwise spent on emails, phone calls and follow ups. You can also seek customized information before the meeting like past investment details and so on to get a sense of the client's financial position.

    The second app that has enhanced my productivity is Mailchimp, a newsletter service that allows you to launch email campaigns to a list of subscribers. You can communicate with many clients and prospects with this app.

    I used Linkedin to acquire new clients during the lockdown. One feature that helped me acquire new clients was downloading the list of connections. The feature gave me contact details of all my connections. In fact, I approached 56 prospects over a period of 2 months. Most of them started investing with me.

    In addition, I use BSE Star MF. Because of this, I was able to conduct a SIP drive even during the lockdown. My SIP book has grown multiple times after started using such platforms.
