AMFI has made new ARN and EUIN registration completely paperless.
The MF industry’s trade body has resumed Aadhaar based authentication to register new ARN and EUIN. With this, individuals and corporates can obtain new ARN and EUIN online.
Earlier in 2018, following the Supreme Court’s verdict on Aadhaar, AMFI had discontinued online registration and renewal of ARN for mutual fund distributors. However, the trade body has restarted online renewal process for distributors through Aadhaar.
In a press release, NS Venkatesh, CEO, AMFI said, “At AMFI, we look at technology as an enabler that can help ease the process and reduce time spent by distributors or their employees on mundane tasks, so that they can better utilize their time on helping their clients. We urge all our distribution fraternity to take benefit of this feature.”
