The position has been vacant for over 21 months since U. K. Sinha left UTI to take over as SEBI Chairman.
UTI AMC has taken out an advertisement for the second time this year inviting application for the post of Chairman and Managing Director. The position has been lying vacant for over 21 months.
The AMC had released an advertisement earlier in June this year for filling up the post. Reportedly, two candidates were short listed for the position but failed to get support of either the board members or the shareholders due to procedural issues.
This time around, the essential qualifications required in an earlier advertisement have now become ‘desirable’. The earlier advertisement released had qualifications such as an MBA/ CA/ ICWA compulsory for applicant.
UTI AMC manages assets worth Rs 70,782 crore as of end September.
