Many organisations have extended their helping hand to the people in need. To highlight these noble deeds of AMCs, banks, national distributors and ecosystem, Cafemutual has launched ‘Humanity In Action’.

One such organisation is Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund, which is a part of the Motilal Oswal Group. The group has been extending its support to the different segments of the society. The CSR activities are conducted at the Group level through Motilal Oswal Foundation (MO Foundation).

The pandemic created disequilibrium between the demand and supply of medical essentials. Understanding the gravity of the situation, MO Foundation stepped forward and donated 311 oxygen cylinders to hospitals, sponsored 450 oxygen concentrators & 65 airway pressure machines in Maharashtra, Gujarat & Rajasthan, provided 4 ventilators to a hospital in Raipur, Chhattisgarh and also donated 5 ECG machines, 1000 high costs lifesaving drugs, 1 ambulance and RTPCR testing machine.

Additionally, the group supports a hospital in both Mumbai and Chennai to enhance medical facilities for better treatment of covid and other patients through a combined donation of Rs. 75 lakh. It also partnered with Sood Charity Foundation (Run by Actor Sonu Sood) to maximize the reach of covid relief aid.

MO Foundation has also distributed ready to cook hygienic food premixes to more than 1000 vulnerable families in Maharashtra. It has also sponsored the community kitchen run by Khaana Chahiye Foundation to serve 300 hot meals daily. The company has also donated Rs.1.25 crore along with Keshav Srushti to help families who lost their bread winners due to covid.

The foundation has also partnered with Annamitra Foundation to sponsor hygienic meals to frontline health workers at 6 hospitals in Mumbai.

The foundation continues to contribute in other segments as well. It has launched a farmer and women economic empowerment program in a village at Wada, in association with Govardhan Rural Development. This program is expected to empower more than 200 tribal families. Additionally, it also supports Palak Muchhal’s foundation for sponsoring heart surgeries of underprivileged children.

The company has also partnered with Vision India Foundation to support the Rashtram School of Public Leadership that aims to nurture ‘self-aware’ and ‘civilizationally-assured’ public leaders.

Through its CSR activities, the foundation continues to stand with those in need and make a difference in the society.
