Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund has appointed two fund managers in its equity team. On October 12, Ajay Argal and Venkatesh Sanjeevi joined the fund house as portfolio managers.
They report to Anand Radhakrishnan who heads the Emerging Markets Equity – India team.
Their hiring coincides with the exit of Roshi Jain, a fund manager associated with the fund house for over 16 years. Her responsibilities will be taken over by the two new appointees. She will be leaving the company at the end of this month.
Ajay Argal, who has over 25 years' of experience in managing equities, has been appointed as the designated portfolio manager for Franklin India Focused Equity Fund and Franklin Build India Fund. He has previously worked with Barings in Hong Kong, Aditya Birla Mutual Fund and UTI Mutual Fund.
Venkatesh Sanjeevi has been given the charge of Franklin India Bluechip Fund and Franklin India Equity Advantage Fund. He has over 17 years' of experience in managing investments. He has previously worked with Pictet Indian Equities Fund, ICICI Prudential AMC and Edelweiss Asset Management.
