A Balasubramanian, the MD and CEO of Aditya Birla Sunlife Mutual Fund has been elected as the chairman of AMFI, the industry body said in a press release on Monday.
Balasubramanian has held this position once before. He was the AMFI Chairman from 2017 to 2019.
Radhika Gupta, the MD and CEO of Edelweiss AMC was elected as the Vice Chairman of AMFI at a Board meeting held on Monday.
Balasubramanian and Radhika have succeeded Nilesh Shah and Saurabh Nanavati, respectively.
Other appointments:
- Vishal Kapoor, CEO of IDFC AMC has been re-elected as the Chairman of AMFI Standing Committee on Certified Distributors (ARN Committee)
- Balasubramanian will also head AMFI Financial Literacy Committee
- Nilesh Shah will be the Chairman of AMFI Valuation Committee
- Radhika Gupta was re-elected as Chairperson of AMFI ETF Committee
- Sanjay Sapre, President, Franklin Templeton AMC will continue to head Operations & Compliance Committee
