From next year, mutual funds and AMFI will have to disclose details of investor complaints on their respective websites on a monthly basis, SEBI said in a circular on Friday.
As of now, mutual funds publish details of investor complaints on an annual basis.
SEBI has issued a format for publishing the data. You can access it here.
Additionally, SEBI also released the investor charter for mutual fund investors. The regulator has directed every mutual fund to publish the document on their website.
The investor charter specifies the time mutual funds can take to provide each service. Like, consolidated account statement for each month will have to be provided within 15 days from the end of each month. The maximum time specified for payout of redemptions is 10 days.
Further, the investor charter specifies the rights of investors and also the do's and don'ts. You can access the full investor charter here.
