To celebrate their ‘never say die’ spirit, Cafemutual had recently launched ‘My Achievement 2021’ contest.
Over 50 participants shared their stories of resilience and strength.
The judges were in a fix at the time of choosing 10 entries. One of the judges shared, “Given the impressive responses received, we are pleased to inform that ‘My Achievement 2021’ contest will now have 15 winners as against 10.”

Akta Sehgal of Manas Wealth, Noida, Uttar Pradesh
Akta conducted more than 100 IAPs on social media platforms. They were largely conducted and curated by Akta independently, barring a few that were in collaboration with other industry players. Interestingly, she has received close to 25 awards from various agencies/institutions for being a financial mentor to many.
Amrinder Singh Kapoor, Asansol, West Bengal
Since Jan 2021, Amrinder has on boarded 80-100 investors every month, of which about 50% are from remote rural areas. He also shared with us that chit fund scams have shaken investors’ faith and getting new clients required more patience and greater persuasion.
Deepak Khandelwal of R G Associates, Jaipur, Rajasthan
Deepak has expanded his team by inducting 3 members in sales, 1 in insurance, 2 in operations and 1 as office staff. Additionally, he also clocked 1100 SIPs on SIP login day and grew his SIP book size to around Rs.1.25 crore. Remarkably, Deepak also purchased two offices last year.
Dipesh Sethia, Agra, Uttar Pradesh
Dipesh reported healthy growth figures during the calendar year 2021. Not only did his AUM grow by around 36%, his SIP book size increased by 20%.
Manju Mundhra of R.D. Wealth Management, Kolkata, West Bengal
Manju got a new office which she inaugurated on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras. Additionally, she booked an impressive 50% AUM growth and 70% SIP growth in the last 6 months. Manju also launched her business website in 2021.
Nisreen Mamaji of MoneyWorks Financial Services, Mumbai, Maharashtra
Nisreen crossed the Rs. 100 crore AUM mark in Oct 2021. Besides, she also revamped her business operations and realigned her team, which helped in reducing the turnaround time significantly.
Philip Cherian of Smartsave Finserv, Kochi, Kerala and President of the Association of Independent Financial Advisors (AIFA) - Ernakulam Chapter
Philip booked more than 100 SIPs nine consecutive times during the calendar year 2021. The secret to the success of these drives - regular follow-ups, promotions and IAPs.
Rajesh Sodhani of Sodhani Capital, Jaipur, Rajasthan
Rajesh along with his team Ajit Shah, Ankit Sodhani and Ritika Sodhani executed 13 successful SIP drives, under which he registered more than 100 SIPs.
S Ramalingam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu
S Ramalingam is an empanelled MFD with a renowned ND. The ND has acknowledged his outstanding performance through a certificate of appreciation 7 times in the year 2021. Additionally, S Ramalingam’s SIP book grew by around 26% during the past year.
Sanjay Bhan, President of All Mutual Fund Distributors Welfare Association (AMDwA), Delhi
Sanjay shared with us that being elected as the President of AMDwA is his most cherished professional achievement for 2021. In his role, he prioritized upgrading & upskilling and conducted numerous webinars during the lockdown. More than 1000 MFDs have benefited from these sessions.
Shalab Gupta Bibhab of Bibhab Capital, Agra, Uttar Pradesh
Shalab started the calendar year 2021 with around Rs.150 crore of AUM and grew it exponentially to more than Rs. 700 crore in Dec 2021. He currently caters to 450 clients (150 retail, 250 HNIs and 50 family office/corporate clients).
Subhadeep Paul, Gairkata, West Bengal
Subhadeep hails from a small-time in West Bengal. When he started 2021, his client base comprised around 25 investors, which grew to 80 investors by the end year - a growth of more than 200%.
Vijay Bhagwat, Belgaum, Karnataka
In October 2021, Vijay’s AUM grew more than 30% and crossed the Rs 200 crore AUM mark. He shared that his entire AUM is made up of retail assets, of which 90% is parked in equity.
Vipul Shah of Bigbucks Finserve, Pune, Maharashtra
Vipul recorded around 37% AUM growth, 24% SIP book growth and his client base increased to 2000. Additionally, he reached out to 1200 investors through 13 IAPs (9 online + 4 physical). He also expanded his team to a 9-member team by hiring 2 employees. In 2021, Vipul also activated 9 new sub-brokers, of which one is from Dubai.
Viral Bhatt of Money Mantra, Mumbai, Maharashtra
In association with a startup, Viral conducted 25 online corporate IAPs under the ‘Financial Well Being’ camp. He reached out to more than 10,000 investors from diverse industries - pharma, finance, IT, etc. In addition to this, Viral also enjoyed significant media coverage (online as well as print) in 2021.
