AMCs participate enthusiastically in the inter-AMC tournament organized by ASK Circle.

AMCs in Kolkata gathered to play their favourite sport – cricket – in an indoor setup last Saturday. The tournament was organised by ASK Circle Association, the Kolkata based IFA association. Along with cricket, there were many fun activities to keep everyone entertained.

An otherwise lazy weekend morning, this Saturday saw AMC officials all charged up for the event. Every year, ASK organises an energetic and lively event to get the mutual fund industry together. “This event brings together executives and officials from various AMCs. It serves as an active platform for networking and information sharing. 10 AMCs have participated this year,” says Kanak Jain, President, ASK Circle Association.

Among the AMCs which participated were Reliance, DSPBR, IDFC, ICICI Prudential, HDFC, L&T, Kotak, Birla, Pramerica and Motilal Oswal.

“The event was a re-union for all the AMC officials and executives. It was a fun weekend and the victory made it more special,” says Aniruddha Chaudhuri, Regional Head, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund.

Most officials were accompanied by their families and kids. The event featured a variety of games for kids to keep them engaged. Cheerleaders with their pom-poms, dressed in red and black, were on the floor to spice up the celebration. At the end of the first half at 2, the players moved to the dining hall after an exhilarating performance.

The final battle was between ICICI Prudential and DSP Blackrock AMC, with ICICI Mutual Fund taking home the trophy. Soumya Chaterjee from ICICI Mutual fund won the best batsman award, Dhawal Mehta from DSP Blackrock Mutual Fund was declared as the best bowler and Alok Kumar was the man of the series. Aniket Rampal from ICICI Prudential won the best fielder award.
