All the listed mutual fund players HDFC, ABSL and UTI have reported gains in net profit in FY 2022. While HDFC recorded a profit growth of 5%, ABSL reported a 28% jump in the bottomline. For UTI AMC, the profit increased by 8%.

Revenues were also on the higher side for the three players. HDFC AMC's total revenues rose 11% to Rs. 2,207 crore, while UTI AMC posted a 13% jump.
However, the last quarter of last financial year was not good for fund houses. For the quarter-ended March 31, 2022, HDFC AMC's profit declined 1% from Rs. 380 crore to Rs. 378 crore. In the case of UTI AMC, the profit declined by 60% to Rs. 54 crore.
ABSL AMC reported a profit of Rs. 159 crore for the previous quarter.
