HDFC MF has relaunched its ‘Nurture Nature’ campaign in which it will plant a tree for every new SIP registered between June 1 and June 10, subject to certain conditions.
Last year, the fund house planted thousands of saplings under this social cause.
The sapling will be planted on investor's behalf only if the SIP is for a minimum amount of Rs 2,000 per month and is for a tenure of at least 3 years.
Further, the SIP should be in an equity-oriented scheme or gold scheme. The fund can be of any type (regular or direct) but the mode of transaction should be online.
Once a SIP is started that fulfils all these conditions, the AMC will plant a tree on behalf of the investor after three months. After the plantation, the investor will receive an eCertificate from HDFC AMC.
Navneet Munot, MD & CEO, HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd. said, “Our #NurtureNature initiative to plant trees on behalf of investors registering digital SIPs, is an endeavor to help investors create wealth while contributing to a greener future. In a digitally inter-connected world, digital onboarding provides investors convenience in investing while also supporting the cause of sustainable development.”
