SEBI has rejigged its14-member mutual fund advisory committee.
Ramesh Krishnamurthi, Director (Primary Market), Capital Markets Division, Dept. of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance and V. R. Iyer, Chairperson & MD, Bank of India have joined the committee.
Mr. S Raman, CMD, Canara Bank is no longer a member of the committee.
SEBI’s Mutual Fund Advisory Committee was constituted in 2008 under the chairmanship of C B Bhave. The committee was reconstituted in 2011 for two years. The committee advises SEBI on the development, disclosures and regulatory aspects of the mutual fund industry. The committee has been instrumental in taking up many initiatives which have left a lasting impact on the industry.
