As part of its investor education initiative, SBI Mutual Fund has recently launched a media campaign ‘SBI Fund Guru’.The multi-lingual campaign aims to reach out to investors in Tier II, Tier III markets, states the company press release.
Deepak Chatterjee, Managing Director & CEO, SBI Mutual Fund, said, “Indian investors are still reluctant to invest in mutual funds as they are not clear about the concept. It is the responsibility of the mutual fund industry to demystify the jargons and misconceptions and educate a wider set of savers across the country. Precisely for this reason, SBI Mutual Fund has taken the lead with SBI Fund Guru campaign.”
The campaign features a cartoon character called ‘SBI Fund Guru’. This character will be seen across digital, print media and during on ground events.
D P Singh, Chief Marketing Officer - Domestic Markets, SBI Mutual Fund, said, “SBI Fund Guru is a warm and friendly mascot, who in a simple way, makes people understand mutual funds as an asset class. Through SBI Fund Guru Campaign (a multi-lingual; multi-media campaign) we aim to reach out to a larger audience across the country and help them realize the benefits of investing in MFs in the long term. So, a series of animated edutainment TV commercials on SIP, ELSS, asset allocation etc. has been planned.”
