45 MFDs and 40 fund house representatives came together to organise and play a cricket tournament in remembrance of their deceased MFD friends, who lost their life to covid-19.
Munnavar Khan of Vision Invest Tech and Partho Chakraborty of Concept Advisory spearheaded this initiative. They pooled money to meet match-related expenses like ground rent, food and beverages.
The one-day tournament was held on September 10, 2022. Munnavar told Cafemutual that this was an initiative by Yaari Dosti Bhopal, a group of MFDs and MF officials in Bhopal.

The tournament hosted the late MFDs’ families as chief guests who honoured every playing member with a certificate of participation. They also handed over trophies to every member of the winning team.
“Our chief guests were deeply touched by the brotherhood in the MF industry and sought comfort in the joyful memories of the departed souls,”, said Munnavar.
