    Tata Mutual Fund launches inter-collegiate quiz competition

    Tata Mutual Fund announced the launch of an inter-collegiate quiz competition called ‘Simply FQ’ as a part of its investor awareness program. The competition will be held in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Indore, Mangalore and Patna. The Mumbai round will be on 27th September at St.  Andrews College in Bandra.

    The quiz will be hosted by team Quizbrain led by Giri “Pickbrain” and LloydSaldanha. The  semi-finals and  finals  of  the  Simply  Finance  Quiz  will  be  telecast  on  a  leading  news  television  channel  in  October.

    The winner will receive prize money of Rs. 3 lakh, runner-up of Rs.1.50 lakh and second runner-up of Rs. 75,000. Regional round winners receive Rs. 50,000 and runners-up receive Rs. 25,000. The online property,www.simplyfq.com too offers weekly prizes and content.

    Announcing this at a press meet, Arvind Sethi, MD & CEO said, “Understanding  how  to  invest  is  a  nation  building  skill  and  through  this  quiz  you  will  find  a  thrilling  and participative  way  to  learn  and  share. ”  He added, “ A  person  is  well  poised  to  take  on  the  challenges  of  the  world only when IQ and EQ meet FQ – Financial Quotient. We believe that if the financial sector has to grow, then people need to be educated about finance.  Our  single  minded  focus  has  always  been  to  make  people appreciate  the  significance  of  finance  in  their  lives  and  how  they  can  personally  benefit  from  financial education.”

    In addition to this quiz, Tata Mutual Fund is targeting to reach out to 15000 investors across India. It has adopted five districts under AMFI’s District Adoption Program initiative. “We are also trying to educate distributors who in turn will educate their investors,” Arvind Sethi told reporters.

    Tata AMC currently has Rs 4 crore (based on its Rs 20883 crore AUM) at its disposal to spend on SEBI mandated investor awareness initiative. Together, the industry will invest Rs 150 crore on investor awareness initiatives.
