FPSB (Financial Planning Standards Board) is to celebrate the sixth World Financial Planning Day (WFPD) on October 5. The Board along with its global networks will raise awareness of the value of financial planning and the need of having a financial plan and a competent & ethical financial planner.
The Board has partnered with the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) World Investor Week (WIW) which kick-started on October 3 to promote global consumer financial literacy and resilience.
It will broadcast a fireside chat on FPSB social media channels where Noel Maye, CEO, FPSB will host Martin Moloney, General Secretary, IOSCO to discuss how CFP professionals contribute to investors’ wellbeing and resilience.
“This World Financial Planning Day, we want the public to know how financial planning can help them feel more confident and in control of their finances, keep them on track with goals, and live their today while planning their tomorrow," said Noel.
As a part of WFPD, FPSB will host a series of events in India. It will participate in the bell-ringing ceremony at NSE on October 4 and conduct a live YouTube session with a CFP practitioner on personal finance including cash flow and estate planning.
It will also host in-person sessions on the importance of financial planning in the first week of October.
