Baroda Pioneer AMC today announced the appointment of Sanjay Chawla as its Chief Investment Officer (CIO) effective 25th September 2013. The appointment of Sanjay is a significant step towards strengthening the fund management team of Baroda Pioneer AMC, said a press release issued by the company.
Sanjay brings with him over 23 years of experience in the financial services sector with over 18 years of experience in equity research. He has most recently served as a Senior Fund Manager with Birla Sun Life AMC. Prior to joining Birla Sun Life AMC, Sanjay worked as Head of Research with SBI Capital Markets and has worked in various capacities in the equity research space in Motilal Oswal Securities, IDBI Capital Markets, SMIFS Securities, IIT Invest Trust & Lloyds Securities. Sanjay holds a Masters in Management Studies from BITS, Pilani.
At Baroda Pioneer AMC, Sanjay will be responsible for overseeing investments of the assets under management which were an average of Rs. 7,140 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013.
