New individual ARN registrations has increased by 21% in the first six months of the current financial year. AMFI data shows that ARN registrations of individuals has increased from 8900 in April-Sept 2021 to 10,800 in April-Sept 2022.
The industry has added highest number of individual MFDs in September with 2050 new registrations. Experts attribute this to MFD Karein Shuru campaign and apprentice MFD initiative launched by a few fund houses.
Barring August 2022, the industry witnessed growth across all months during the first six months of the current financial year.

Overall, the MF industry saw 25000 new ARNs registered between April and September 2022. This includes corporate employees and companies.
In terms of renewal, close to 17500 individual MFDs renewed their ARNs in the last six months. The highest registrations this financial year happened in June at 3,693.
In FY 2022, 30600 individual MFDs had renewed their ARNs.
