    B30 cities now account for 17% of the total MF assets

    Of the total assets of Rs.40 lakh crore, nearly Rs.7 lakh crore comes from B30 cities.

    AMFI’s latest data shows that 17% of the total assets in the mutual fund industry has come from B30 cities. The data shows that B30 cities has contributed Rs. 6.74 lakh crore as on September 2022 as against the total industry’s assets of Rs.40 lakh crore.

    Further analysis of the data shows that a major part of B30 assets has come from equity-oriented schemes. 

    Meanwhile, close to 80% of the total B30 assets was in equity schemes against 46% in the case of T30 cities.

    Interestingly, over 80% of the B30 assets has come from individual investors. Such a ratio in T30 cities was just 46%. Individual investors include retail and HNIs.
