In this article, we have featured stories of 5 MFDs who have made a big difference in lives of clients through SIPs. Let us look at these stories in their own words.

    Murali Krishnan C, Kochi

    Heart touching story

My client Prathapan works as a security guard in a company. His simple dream was to buy to buy a bicycle. He started with SIP of Rs.100 and in four years he built a corpus of Rs.7000 corpus. I still remember when he bought his bicycle, he came to me with sweets. I still remember a smile on his face.

    Ravisakar, Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu

    A dream comes true

One of my clients wanted to buy a Mercedes Benz. When he shared this thought with me, I made a roadmap to accumulate Rs.75 lakh in 4-5 years through SIPs. With god’s grace and stellar performance of mutual funds, he was able to buy a Mercedes in just 3 years.

Reddi Satya Durga Suresh, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh

Started with SIP of Rs.20,000 and withdrew Rs.1.50 crore in 10 years

One of my clients wanted to save money for his retirement. He was willing to invest Rs.15,000 per month through SIPs in 2007. However, things took an ugly turn in 2008 after the global economic crisis. However, I recommended my client to stay invested and instead increase SIP. As a result, the clients accumulated Rs.1.50 crore in 10 years and today he withdraws handsome money through SWP.

    Vinay Gupta, Jammu

Created a crore from SIP of Rs.2000 for client’s daughter

I still remember when my client Joginder Sharma approached me to seek my opinion on creating corpus for his daughter’s education. Considering his financial situation, I suggested him to do SIP of Rs.2,000 which gradually moved to Rs 50,000 per month. Today, he has built a corpus of Rs.1 crore in 20 years.  Three things that helped him achieve this goal - investing discipline, avoiding market noise and not exiting midway.

Vishal Shah, Dhan Ki baat, Ahmedabad

A dream fulfilled along with adequate surplus

Mr. Desai is my client for over 15 years. He started investing in mutual funds through SIPs of Rs.3000 for his daughter’s wedding. Eventually, he grew his SIPs to Rs.25,000. Overtime, not only did the client fund a lavish wedding of his daughter, he has accumulated an additional corpus of Rs.3 crore.
