AMFI’s latest data on AUM disclosure of the top MFDs shows that Scripbox, Sapient Wealth and Bluechip Corporate Investment Centre are the three largest boutique distribution firms in the MF industry.
Scripbox promoted by Atul Singhal and Sanjiv Singhal leads the pack with assets under advisory of over Rs.9600 crore. The company witnessed growth of 172% in the last one year largely due to merger of businesses of Ajit Khasnis, Bharat Phatak and Sujata Kabraji.
While Sapient Wealth has witnessed 10% growth in its assets size, Bluechip Corporate Investment Centre saw 9%growth in its AUM base last financial year ended on March 2023. Sapient Wealth and Bluechip Corporate Investment manage assets of over Rs.8800 crore and Rs.5500 crore, respectively.
In absolute terms, Fisdom and Capital League have recorded AUM growth Rs. 938 crore and Rs.874 crore, respectively, highest in the industry after Scripbox. Interestingly, Capital League has witnessed an assets growth of 156%. The company’s AUM went up from Rs.562 crore to Rs.1436 crore.
Overall, the top 25 MF distribution companies have recorded 22% growth by adding assets of over Rs.12,000 crore. The top 25 boutique MFD companies manage assets of Rs.66780 crore as on March 2023.
Please note that we have considered distribution firms which are promoted by individuals to make this list. We have excluded banks, national distributors having sub broking arm, stock broking companies, distribution companies focussing only on family offices/wealthy segment and institutions and individual MFDs.
