An analysis of returns data across six categories of hybrid funds shows that aggressive funds offer the highest CAGR of 19% in the 3-year period ending on Sept 2023. They have average returns of 18.63% as on September 2023, the maximum among others; the returns range between 13.03% and 27.84% across 30 funds.
The next best performing category is multi asset allocation with 9 funds generating average returns of 16.39%. Here, the returns range between 7.10% and 27.50%.
Following the top two is the dynamic asset allocation category having a 12.48% average return. 20 funds fall under this category and have the lowest and highest return of 8.92% and 26.20%, respectively.
The equity savings fund is another category which offers double-digit returns. This category covers 22 funds where returns range between 6.90% and 13.24%.
However, the average returns dip to 9.12% in the case of the conservative hybrid fund and 4.35% in the arbitrage fund category.
